Recently many customer have high contact resistance issues with IC test site, those are caused by solder migrations. They also have other issues like high cost pin replacement or short life.
“Nanotech” brush has very efficient feature to remove solder migration that stays on spring pin tips migrated from devices and pads. Probably many engineers have an image that wire brush is just rust remover. But latest semiconductor technology requires more precise rust removing methodologies.
Features
Generally, there are several brushing materials such as music wire, steel, hard steel, stainless steel and synthetic fiber, etc. We selected stainless steel wire in diameter φ0.05, φ0.04, φo.o3mm from our laboratory test.
“Nanotech” brush removes solder migration without removing pins and it can also be used in production line. Previous and common cleaning was removing pins from socket then cleans with solvent and retune back into socket. This cleaning process takes time and cost.

How to use
See following photos! You do not need to remove any spring pins but just brush 10 to 20- times. It is perfect solution to remove solder migrations.
Note: please brush gently or it will damage plated spring pin surface. We suggest you to brush as you brush your tooth.
